On November 10, 2022, we celebrated.
\nWe gave the official starting shot of the works on our new plant.
\nIt was a sunny day with many beautiful words. <\/p>\n
Beautiful words from Mayor Wim Dries<\/strong> who extended a warm welcome to us in Genk. If there is anything we deserved that day, it was the sun. The timing is tight. But Soltech’s building won’t just be beautiful<\/em>. Solar energy will play a very important role in the energy transition. As early as 1970, Louis Neefs sang it… let us have a flower and the grass that is still green… Every facade<\/strong> is in the sun. Since 1989, our people have been working on the technology to integrate solar cells into various materials. The technology is on point. With the construction of our new plant, we are shifting up a gear. Just over a year ago, the new SOLTECH was launched. There is no doubt that without our shareholders, SOLTECH’s story would be a lot weaker. Serge, Ludo, Marc, Kris, Roeland … but also Dries, Evelyne and Joachim … Without them, we would not be standing here today. Together we would like to usher in a new future. \nBy the end of May next year, a beautiful building, drawn by MaMu Architects and built by Gijbels, will be there. <\/p>\n
\nIt will also be active<\/strong>.
\nBecause that’s what we do with Soltech.

\nWe can make a solar panel out of anything<\/em>. Literally. And in this way, we want to contribute to a better world for our children and our grandchildren.<\/p>\n

\nAlthough Integrated PhotoVoltaics – as we call it – is still very much in the innovation sphere, we are technically ready to help tackle the climate crisis. <\/p>\n

\nResearch institutions are our partners in crime. <\/p>\n
\nAn automated production line will ensure that we also become very competitive in terms of price.
\nA hyper-modern production line that is at the same time highly flexible is one of the requirements for the design of our production. Customization<\/em>, series production<\/em> and innovation<\/em> will find their way through our factory hand in hand. <\/p>\n
\nIn the meantime, we went from 7 to 20 employees.
\nThe goal is to produce 50 000 m\u00b2 of panels here in 2024 with 30 employees.
\nAn ambitious goal made possible only by our shareholders. <\/p>\n
\nTogether with me they believe in the added value SOLTECH has for Belgium, Europe and by extension the rest of the world.
