Are you our difference maker

MACHINEMENTOR

Teaming up with our production
Alias: Service Technician Technological Production Machinery

SOLTECH | Production

SOLTECH makes solar panels.

But not ordinary solar panels!
Actually, we should say:
SOLTECH can make a solar panel out of almost anything.
Van gevels, ramen, dakpannen, de capeau van een auto, het dak van een bushokje, fietspaden en betontegels… tot geluidswanden langs de autostrades.

We integrate solar cells into materials – in buildings (BIPV), in means of transport (VIPV), in products (PIPV) and in infrastructure (IIPV).
In this way, every object that we may give a touch of SOLTECH becomes
a source of energy.

Difference makers

Are you looking for a job with impact? Do you want to be part of a team that produces products that make a difference every day?
Are you the person who wants to literally put your energy into a wide variety of projects?

Then be sure to read on!

Are you the MachineMentor we are looking for?

Working at SOLTECH, is working toward a brighter future.
Because everything we build lets us contribute to a better world.
Really.
No greenwashing.
No talking points.
Just a beautiful and honest story. And that story, you get to help tell.
In our own(sensible) way.

Your profile

You are to production what the Warehouse Master is to internal logistics.
Not a standard production technician.
But a thinking and cooperating link for the flawless running of our production lines.

That is, you ensure that our technological production machines “do it” as in: they work as they should.
If they don’t, you are our helpline.
You are able to diagnose the problem.
Ideally, you solve the problem yourself.
If that fails, you are our direct line to the manufacturer of the machine.

Of course, you won’t do this alone.
Our engineers also know our machines very well.
They are your sounding board, sparring partner and inspector on duty.

In short. you have a decent dose of technical skills, but no sitting hole and a passion for machines.

Your duties

After the move

  • We just moved in… so our machinery needs some love.
  • Some machines are not yet (fully) operational.
This is therefore where your first challenge will lie.
  • Other machines have yet to be delivered.
There, too, you are the linchpin to success.
You will receive training from the manufacturer and be completely immersed in the baths of the Lay-Up, the Autobussing and the Glassiled line.

Maintenance tasks

  • It says what it is… You arrange the periodic maintenance of all machines.
  • Prevention is better than cure because the fastest way to solve is prevention.
  • Can you do the maintenance yourself, great.
Do you arrange it with the manufacturer or an outside party, also fine.
  • You have a clear understanding of whether we should have maintenance certificates or inspection certificates and when they should be renewed.

Emergency Operations

  • A machine lies still.
    SHIT!
At best, we have an army of production workers who can’t go on.
At worst, we don’t meet our deadlines.
THEN you’re the first one the guys look at.
  • An emergency solution is welcome in that case.
Can you help our production out of the emergency immediately, we are eternally grateful.
  • Then you start looking for a real solution.

Optimization

  • At SOLTECH, we want to continuously improve ourselves, our products and our processes.
    It’s in our genes.
We are not afraid to make our own job obsolete.
    Do you see possible improvements?
Then we would like to hear about it.
If you would like to work on these improvements together with our production pilot and engineers, we will encourage you loudly.
  • Optimization can be about a machine itself, but also about the steps between different machines or even the way the operator works with it.

Here’s what we offer

All the clichés… you can expect the same with us: a competitive salary, a nice working atmosphere….
We offer a full-time position with a permanent contract.

Contributing to a sustainable society is very nice, but you don’t pay the bills with that.
We are happy to discuss terms based on your profile.

So if you feel like working, throwing yourself into a job with impact and learning every day, you are the m/f/x we are looking for.

How to apply.

Have we made you curious?
Mail to bas.vandekreeke@soltech.be or call Bas at 0496 80 21 16.

SOLTECH GROWS

And not a little.
From 7 to 35 in a year.
With a rapid increase after the summer.

ZOT!
Really BIG!

And yes!
Growing is exciting.
And yes!
Growing feels incredibly good at the same time.
Our original team and our new employees: together they give fireworks! Together, they make a difference. Incredibly beautiful to see what our people are capable of.

And we are still growing.
But right now it hurts.
Too much pain.
And too much is never good.

So we're still looking for people.

YOU SIGN FOR CHANGE

If we can welcome you to our team, you are signing on for change.
Not just because you are working on and with a technology that is helping to change the world.
Technology itself is also constantly changing.

Moreover, big things are about to happen.
We built a new factory.
Recently, we moved to Genk.
A new factory obviously brings change.
We continue to reinvent ourselves.
We continue to strive for optimization of processes and products.
Only in this way can we secure our added value compared to standard solutions.

YOU SIGN FOR A ROLE

SOLTECH is not standard in anything.
And we are proud of that.
Even though we have been around for more than 30 years, we work like a start-up.
With us, there are no job profiles.
With us, we talk about "roles.

Each has his role.
Or even multiple roles. A role is a collection of tasks that are your responsibility. Therefore, you do not perform them alone.
But you are ultimately the one responsible for the results.

We look at your capabilities and use them optimally in such a way that you not only create but also get energy from your work.
